CHAP. 114.

and who may have any estate or interest in lands in this
State, shall have leave to introduce any negro slave or
slaves for life, of which he may be possessed as provided

An act to confirm and make valid the proceedings of the
Clerk to the Commissioners of Carroll County, in rela-
tion to roads in said County.
|

|
Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assem-
bly, that the act of eighteen hundred and thirty-eight,
chapter fifty-five, rendered applicable to Carroll county,
the act of eighteen hundred and twenty-five, chapter two
hundred and nineteen, concerning opening loads, &c.;
and whereas, the fourteenth section of eighteen hundred
and twenty-five, chapter two hundred and nineteen, re-
quired the clerk of the county to keep a record of all
road cases, &c.; and whereas, this duly has been per-
formed by the clerk of the commissioners — therefore.

Made valid
and effectual.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
of Maryland, That all records heretofore made by the
clerk to the commissioners of Carroll county, relating to
any roads in said county, shall be as valid and effectual
to all intents and purposes as if they had been recorded
by the clerk of said county court, as required by the act
of eighteen hundred and twenty-five, chapter two hun-
dred and nineteen, section fourteen.

Clerk to re-
cord all road
cases.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That from and after the
passage of this act, it shall be the duty of the clerk to
the commissioners of Carroll county to record all road
cases in the manner as heretofore required of the clerk
to the county court, and a copy of the said record duly
attested under the hand and seal of said clerk to the
commissioners, shall be good and available evidence in
law.
