CHAPTER 111.

An act to allow John Newcomer, former sheriff and collec-
tor of Washington County, further time to complete his
collections.

21, 1846.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That all the provisions of the act entitled, an act to al-
low John Newcomer, former sheriff and collector of
Washington county, further time to complete his collec-
tions, passed at December session, eighteen hundred and
forty-two, chapter ninety, be and the same are hereby
further extended until the last day of December, eighteen
hundred and forty-seven.


CHAPTER 112.

Time exten-
ded.

An act relating to the Franklin Bank of Baltimore.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the notice for elections of directors in
the Franklin Bank of Baltimore, the manner of taking
bonds from its officers, and of acquiring and selling pro-
perty, shall be the same as prescribed by the original
charter.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the ninth fundamental
article of the act to incorporate the Merchants Bank of
Baltimore is hereby declared inoperative and of no ef-
fect, so far as it may apply to the President and Directors
of the Franklin Bank of Baltimore.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall have
no effect whatever, unless the stockholders at a general
meeting called for that purpose, declare their acceptance
thereof.
