der B. Harrison, late of said county, deceased, and by
him conveyed to said stewards, and their successors, for
the purposes above mentioned.

CHAP. 109.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That for the purpose of
the better security, protection, management and improve-
ment of said properly, for the purposes mentioned in the
first section of this act, and for no other purpose, the
above named stewards and their successors, are, and are
hereby declared to be a body corporate, and as such, to
sue and be sued, plead and be impleaded, in any of the
Courts of law of this State.

CHAPTER 108.

Incorporated.

An act to authorise and empower the Commissioners for
Charles County, to levy a sum of money for the repairs
of the Court House in said County.

30, 1846.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the commissioners for Charles county,
be and they are hereby authorised and empowered, if in
their discretion they shall deem it expedient, to cause the
court house in said county, to be repaired, and to take
bond or bonds from any contractor or contractors for the
faithful performance of his or their contract, in such pen-
alty as they may think proper.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That for the purpose of
defraying the expenses of repairing said court house the
said commissioners shall have power to levy on the as-
sessable property of said county, a sum of money not ex-
ceeding one thousand dollars.

CHAPTER 109.

An act relating to the Bank of Baltimore.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the President, Directors, and Company
of the Bank of Baltimore, be and they are hereby author-
ised and empowered to advertise and hold their elections,
to elect their directors and president, and to make their
semi-annual dividends, in the manner and at the times
