such rights, privileges and immunities as by laws are in-
cident or necessary to corporations, and what may be
necessary to the corporation herein constituted, and to
tenable the members of said order to exercise all things
concerning the design of this corporation, for the benevo-
lent relief of the sick and distressed, and for the promo-
tion of their purposes generally.

CHAP. 123.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That it may and shall be
lawful at any time, for the Genera! Assembly to demand
a statement of the amount of property, teal and personal,
belonging to the said corporation, and of the debts due to
and from the said corporation, and the purposes for which
disbursements shall have been made, and shall also have
the right to authorise one or more persons to inspect such
general accounts in the books of the corporation, as shall
relate to such statements.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That this corporation shall
not be permitted to issue any note, token, device, scrip,
or evidence of debt, to he used as a currency.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the General Assembly
of Maryland, reserves the right to change, alter or annul,
this act of incorporation at any time.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That this act of incorpora-
tion shall remain in force until the year eighteen hundred
find sixty-five, and until the end of the next General As-
sembly thereafter.

An act to incorporate the Saint Michael's Beneficial Socie-
ty, in Talbot County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Robert A. Dodson, Josiah Thomas,
Oliver P. Sparks, Samuel Blades, John W. Barwick,
Leonidas Dodson, Thomas K. Robson, and all others,
who may become members of the said society and their
successors, be and they are hereby created a corporation
and body politic, by the name, style and title of the Saint
Michael's Beneficial Society in Talbot county, and by that
name, shall be able and capable in law to sue and be sued,
plead and be impleaded, defend and be defended, answer
and be answered in any court of law or equity, and to
make and use a common seal, and the same to alter and
change at pleasure, and to ordain and establish such by-
