1844.

entitled, an act relating to Anne Arundel county, be and
the same is hereby extended to Anne Arundel county and
Howard District, in all civil and judicial proceedings.

CHAP. 86.

CHAPTER 85.

An act entitled, an act supplementary to an act passed at
December session eighteen hundred and thirty-one, chap-
ter two hundred and five.

Passed Feb.
14, 1845.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the passage of this act, oral testimo-
ny made on affirmation of the identity of the grantor or
grantors in any deed or deeds or other instrument of wri-
ting, shall be as good and sufficient, as if the same was
taken under oath, as by the fourth section of the act to
which this is a supplement is required; provided, the cer-
tificate of such affirmation, before the justices of the peace
taking the same us hereinbefore directed, shall appear
in the acknowledgment by them made to such deed or
deeds or other instruments in the same manner as is now
required of the oath of identity, by the act to which this
is a supplement.

CHAPTER 86.

An act to confirm an act to amend the Constitution and
Form of Government of this State, prohibiting any mo-
ney being drawn from the Treasury of the State, but in
consequence of appropriations made by law.

Passed Feb.
14, 1845.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the act passed at December session eighteen hun-
dred and forty-three, chapter three hundred and thirty-
nine, entitled, an act to amend the Constitution and Form
of Government of this State, prohibiting any money being
drawn from the Treasury of the State, but in consequence
of appropriations made by law, be and the same is hereby
confirmed.
