SUSQUEHANNA CANAL CO. AND TIDE WATER

   

CANAL CO.—A supplement to the act

   

of 1843, ch. 363 in aid of, providing that

   

in case the creditors &c. referred to in the

   

preamble, &c or name one or more of

   

them shall within 60 days: after the pass-

   

age of this act shall pay in behalf of the

   

company to the treasurer the balance of in-

   

teiest due &c. to 1st January 1845, and

   

'in case person so paying will agree with

   

the company to fund the amount paid in

   

augmentation of the amounts proposed to

   

be Funded by said company, and also if

   

the creditors &c. of 2nd and 3rd clauses

   

&c. will agree to fund their claims on the

   

terms above and secure certificates &c. as

   

proposed to be issued, and on perform-

   

ance of the conditions precedent prescrib-

   

ed by this act, then this State assents that

   

the inttrest on said certificates shall be

   

paid by the company in priority to the in-

   

terest to be paid to State, on the obliga-

   

tion of said company other than the bond

   

of said company &c. none of the certifi-

   

cates issued by said company shall be re-

   

deemed, unless with the assent of the State

   

and that assent shall not impair existing
