1844. RESOLUTIONS.
Senior, of Somerset county, or to his order, the sum of three
hundred and eighty-two dollars, and eighty cents, in full
of his claim against the State, for damages to his lands
caused by the construction through them of the Eastern
Shore Rail Road, the said sum being the equivalent for
five hundred and eighty dollars, the amount allowed him
by the board of commissioners, and inadvertently omitted
in their aw ard commuted into money, at the present market
value of the five per centum stock of the State, which was
authorised to be issued to the creditors of the said compa-
ny, by the act passed for the settlement of its affairs.

Resolution directing the Governor to purchase furniture
for the Court of Appeals.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Governor be, and he is hereby authorised to apply
the sum of two hundred dollars, if in his judgment necessary
to the purchase of furniture for the Chamber of the Court
of Appeals, for the Western Shore.

Resolution in favor of Benjamin Hopkins.
|

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Treasurer pay to the order of Benjamin Hopkins, out
of any unappropriated money in the Treasury, the sum of
sixty-five dollars and fifty tents, the sum allowed to him
by the committee of Claims, for keeping the furnace of the
House of Delegates, and for other services.
