SEC. 5. And be it enacted. That the dividends of the
profits of the Mechanic's Bank of Baltimore, or so much
of the same as shall be deemed expedient and proper, shall
be declared half-yearly, in the months of May and No-
vember, payable during the months of June and Decem-

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the ninth fundamental
article of the act to incorporate the Merchant's Bank of
Baltimore, is hereby declared inoperative and of no effect,
so far as it may apply to the President and Directors of
the Mechanic's Bank of Baltimore.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That the cashier, tellers,
book keepers, and other officers and servants of said
bank, shall give bonds to the satisfaction of the president
and directors, For the faithful discharge of their duties.

Repealed.
|
SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That so much of any former
act as is inconsistent with the provisions of this act, so
far as they are designed to apply to the President and Di-
rectors of the Mechanic's Bank of Baltimore, the same

shall be and are hereby repealed; provided however, that
the said President and Directors of the Mechanic's Bank
of Baltimore, shall be and they are hereby declared to be
subject to all the other rules, restrictions, limitations and
provisions declared in the act to which this is a supple-
ment, save and except so much thereof as are herein con-
tained and declared as not to be applicable to the said

SEC. 9. And be it enacted, That this act shall hare no
effect whatsoever, unless the stockholders at a general
meeting called, consistent with the existing provisions of
the charter of the Mechanic's Bank of Baltimore, to be
held on or before the first Monday in June next, shall not
by resolution authorise the President and Directors of the
Mechanic's Bank of Baltimore to declare their accept-
ance of this supplemental act, and transmit a copy of
such resolution under the seal of the bank to the Govern-
or, to be filed in the Executive department.
