SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That for every violation or
infraction of this law, the offender shall be subject to a fine
of not less than one nor more than five dollars, to be re
covered by information before any justice of the peace of
the State, as other small debts are recovered, one-half
thereof for the use of the informer, the other half for the
use of the State.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall not go
into operation until the first day of August, eighteen hun-
dred and forty-five.

CHAPTER 35.

An act for the relief of Zachariah Sunderland of Calvert
County.
|

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the levy court of Calvert county, be, and they
are hereby authorised and directed to levy upon the as-
sessable property of Calvert county, the sum of thirty
dollars, for the use of Zachariah Sunderland, if in their
judgment it should appear expedient and advisable.

CHAPTER 36.

An act to allow John R. Baden, late Sheriff of Prince
George's County, further time to complete his collec-
tions.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That John R. Baden, late sheriff of Prince George's
county, by himself or any person or persons by him appoint-
ed for this purpose, is and are hereby authorised and em-
powered to collect until the first day of January, eighteen
hundred and forty-six, the sums and balances due him as
Sheriff of Prince George's county, in the same manner
which the said John R. Baden could or might have done
