SEC. 3. Be it enacted, That Daniel Keller, David Koo-
gle and John Flook, or either of them, shall have power
to call the first meeting of said corporation by appointing
a tune and place therefor, and give written notice thereof
to the other persons named and incorporated by this act,
at least six days before such time of meeting.

SEC. 4. Be it enacted, That nothing in this act con-
tain, be so construed as to authorise the said corporation
to issue any note, token, device, scrip or other evidence

shall enure for thirty years from its passage, and the
Legislature reserves the right to alter or annul this act of

An act to provide for the completion of certain records of
the Orphans' Court of Somerset County.
|

WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assembly,
that sundry wills, inventories, lists of separate and despe-
rate debts, accounts of sales, administration accounts, dis-
tributions of estates, orders for, and distributions of negroes
and returns of said negroes sales, guardian's bonds, valua-
tions of the real estates of orphans, accounts of guardians,
releases or acquittances to executors, administrators and
guardians, orders of references and indentures of appren-
ticeship, have been left unrecorded by the late register of
wills, whose term of office has expired by constitutional
limitation—Therefore,

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That James Polk, late register of wills, is
hereby authorised and empowered to complete his registry
and record of said papers referred to within six months
from this date, and the register of wills of said county is
hereby authorised to deliver from time to time such origi-

nal papers to said James Polk for the purposes aforesaid,
within the time aforesaid; provided always, said register
shall exercise a sound discretion in delivering said papers,
so as not to interfere with the public interest or conveni-
ence; and provided also, he shall exact a receipt for such
papers as may be delivered from record aforesaid, which
said receipt shall discharge said present register for liabili-
ty for their delivery.
