CHAP. 261.

one, in the judicial docket of said county court, for No-
vember term, eighteen hundred and twenty-six; and that
said special return be deemed and adjudged as good and
valid to all intents and purposes at law and in equity, as
if made and filed within the time in which by law he was
authorised to have made and filed the same.

 

CHAPTER 260.

Passed March
8, 1845.

A supplement to an act entitled, an act to Tax the Com-
missions of certain Officers of this State.

Repealed.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That so much of the third section of the act
entitled, an act to tax the commissions of certain officers
of this State, passed at December session, eighteen hun-
dred and forty-three, chapter two hundred and eighty-
four, as requires the clerks of the several county courts of
this State, to pay all sums received by them under the
provisions of the said act into the Treasury, within twenty
days after the same shall have been received by them, be
and the same is hereby repealed.

rer.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said clerks shall
hereafter, semi-annually, on the first day of May and first
day of November, in each and every year, make return of
and pay over to the Treasurer all monies they may have
received under the provisions of the aforesaid act.

 

CHAPTER 261.

An act to authorise Stephen Beard, Senior, of Anne Arun-
del County, to deed certain Property therein named.

Authorised to
execute deed.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Stephen Beard, Senior, of Anne Arundel county, be
and he is hereby authorised to execute a deed to J. S.
Sellman, in fee simple, for a certain meeting house,
known by the name of Providence Meeting House, with
the lot attached thereto, which was heretofore conveyed
to certain trustees by the said J. S. Sellman, for the use of

Proviso.

the Methodist Episcopal Church; provided that the said
J. S. Sellman shall, before he receives said deed, pay the
