An act relating to Lotteries.

Lottery tick-
ets to hare sig-
natures of the
commissioners

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the passage of this act,
all lottery tickets or parts of lottery tickets in the consoli-
dated lotteries of this State, or in any other lotteries, that
may be hereafter authorised in this State, shall be authen-
ticated by the signatures of one at least, of the commis-
sioners of lotteries, either written or stamped.

Repealed.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all acts inconsistent
herewith be, and the same are hereby repealed.
|

An act for the benefit of Daniel Badley, of Somerset
County.
|
Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assembly,
that Daniel Badley, of Somerset county, is desirous to in-
troduce into this State from the State of Delaware, a negro
woman, Adeline, a slave for life—Therefore,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That said Badley is hereby authorised and empowered to
introduce into this State, from the State of Delaware, said

provisions of the act of eighteen hundred and thirty-nine,
chapter fifteen.
