CHAP. 222.

SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That nothing in this act
be so construed as to authorise the said corporation to
issue any note, token, device, scrip or other evidence of
debt, to be used as currency.

SEC. 11. And be it enacted, That this act shall com-
mence, and be in force from and after the passage thereof.
SEC. 12. And be it enacted, That this act shall continue
in force for thirty years, and no longer, and shall at all
times from the organization of the company, be liable to
be amended or repealed, at the pleasure of the Legislature,

CHAPTER 221.

An act to repeal in part the third section of an act passed
December session, eighteen hundred and twenty-nine,
chapter eighty-eight, entitled, an act to repeal the third
section of an act entitled, an act for the revaluation of the
assessable property in Prince George's County, passed at
December session, eighteen hundred and twenty-four,
chapter thirty-eight, and/or other purposes.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the day of the passage of this act, all
such acts and parts of acts as provide that the clerk of the
levy court of Prince George's county, shall hold his office
of clerk of said court during good behavior, be and the
same are hereby repealed, and the said levy court shall
and they are hereby directed and required on some day
between the first and the twentieth days of April next, and
annually thereafter, to appoint some suitable person to per-
form the duties now required by law, or hereafter may or
be required to be performed by the clerk of said court,
under the same obligations and responsibilities as are now,
prescribed by law.
