which said road shall pass, the amount of damages assess-
ed by said commissioners, for the right of way of said
road to be used and held by the said Smith in perpetuity.

An act to authorise Nicholas L. Goldsborough and John
F. Henry, trustees, to dispose of certain personal proper-
ty therein mentioned, and to invest the same in real estate.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, by a certain deed or marriage contract, ex-
ecuted on the fifteenth of July, eighteen hundred and
thirty-seven, and recorded in liber E. R., Number se-
venteen, folios 348, 349, 350, and 351, one of the
Hand record books of Dorchester county, between James
B. Steele of said county, in the State of Maryland,
of the first part, Sarah T. Goldsborough of the said coun-
ty and State, of the second part, and Nicholas L. Golds-
borough and John F. Henry, of the said county and State
of the third part, the said James B. Steele and Sarah T.
Goldsborough, respectively, conveyed in trust to the said
Nicholas L. Goldsborough and John F. Henry, certain
stock of the city of Baltimore, and other personal proper-
ty therein mentioned, according to the uses and trusts,
limitations and provisions therein contained; AND WHERE-

AS, it is deemed advisable by the said James B. Steele
and Sarah T. his wife, (of her own free will and accord, )
formerly Sarah T. Goldsborough, and Nicholas L. Golds-
borough and John F. Henry, that the whole or a part of
the said personal property, shall be converted into real
estate, to be held by the said Nicholas L. Goldsborough
and John F. Henry, trustees as aforesaid, for the uses and
trusts as set forth in the said deed or marriage contract—

Therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland. That the said Nicholas L. Goldsborough and
John F. Henry, trustees as aforesaid, be and they are
hereby authorised to sell, assign, and transfer the stock of
the city of Baltimore, mentioned in the said contract, and
to invest the same in real estate, to be held by them for
the uses and trusts mentioned in the said contract, and in
like manner to dispose of any other personal property,
which may come into their hands under and by virtue of
the said contract; it being the intention of this act of As-
sembly, to authorise the said trustees in their full discre-
tion and judgment, to convert the whole or any part of
