CHAP. 205.

pose, with full power to withhold the amount or amounts
so levied, in case said bidder or bidders do not keep said
roads in good repair; and they are hereby authorised, for
the better carrying out the purposes of this section, to
divide the county into its many sections or hundreds as
they may deem expedient.

Repealed.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That all acts inconsistent
with said act, be and the same are hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 205.

An act for the relief of Henrietta Roberts and Henry M.
Robey, Administrators of Allison Roberts, of Charles
County.

Time allow-
ed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Henrietta Roberts and Henry M. Robey,
administrators of Allison Roberts, former collector of di-
rect taxes for Charles county, have until the first day of
April, in the year eighteen hundred and forty-six, to col-
lect the accounts or balances due to the said Allison Ro-
berts, collector as aforesaid, at the time of his death, as
freely as if the same had been done within the time here-

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Henrietta
Roberts and Henry M. Robey, administrators as aforesaid,
before they shall proceed to execute the body or property
of any person or persons, for direct tax as aforesaid, shall
deliver or cause to be delivered, to the person or persons
chargeable with the same, or shall leave or cause to be left
at his, her or their house, or last place of abode, at least
twenty days previous to the serving or levying any exe-
cution upon the body or property of said person or per-

sons, an account of the sum due by him, her or them.
SEC. 3. Be it enacted, That the said Henrietta Roberts,
and Henry M. Robey, administrators as aforesaid, are
hereby authorised to surrender to the commissioner of
loans, any certificates of interest or coupons in the posses-
sion of the said Allison Roberts at the time of his death,
and shall make an affidavit that the same were found in
the possession of the said Allison Roberts at the time of
his death; the amount whereof shall be credited by the
Treasurer of Maryland in the account of the said Allison
Roberts, as collector aforesaid

said, are hereby fully authorised and empowered to ap-
point one or more agents or deputies, for the purpose of
