An act to authorise the Commissioners of Baltimore Coun-
ty, to divide in equal proportions, between the City and
County of Baltimore, the Baltimore and Havre de Grace
Road Stock, standing in the name of the Levy Court of
Baltimore County, and for other purposes.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the commissioners of Baltimore county, are hereby
authorised and empowered to divide in equal proportions
between the city and county of Baltimore, the stock in the
Baltimore and Havre de Grace Road Company, now
standing in the name of the late levy court of Baltimore
county; and that the treasurer of said county be, and he
is hereby authorised and empowered to transfer said-
stock in the proportions above mentioned, to the Mayor
and City Council of Baltimore, and to the commissioners
of the county for the use and benefit of said county.

Be if enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Maryland Historical Society be, and it hereby is
authorised and empowered to establish and maintain a
Gallery of the Fine Arts, and also to establish or cause
to be delivered public lectures on the fine arts, or on lit-
erary or on scientific subjects.

An act for the Benefit of the Trustees of the Primary
Schools of Saint Mary's County.
|
Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, The trustees of the primary schools in Saint
Mary's county have experienced considerable difficulties
in collecting the dues and subscriptions to said schools,
from the fact that they are not allowed to sue or warrant
as trustees of the particular schools of which they may be
the trustees, but must warrant or sue in their individual
names—Therefore,
