CHAP. 169.
Proviso.

for the cultivation and improvement of said farms; provided,
the said James Law shall comply with the provisions of the
latter part of the fourth section of an act of Assembly,
passed at December session, eighteen hundred and thirty-
one, chapter three hundred and twenty-three.

 

CHAPTER 168.

Passed March
3, 1845.

An act to repeal an act passed at December session, eigh-
teen hundred and forty three, chapter one hundred and
eighty-six, entitled, an act relating to the issuing of war-
rants and precepts by Justices of the Peace, in and for
Washington County.

Repealed.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the passage of this act, an act enti-
tled, an act relating to the issuing of warrants and pre-
cepts by justices of the peace, in and for Washington
county, passed at December session, eighteen hundred
and forty-three, be and the same is hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 169.

Passed March
3, 1845.

An act to allow James W. Saulsbury, late Collector of
Caroline County, further time to complete his collections.

Time allowed.

SECTION 1 Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the passage of this act,
James W. Saulsbury, late collector of Caroline county,
by himself or any person or persons by him appointed, for
this purpose, be and he is hereby authorised and empow-
ered to collect until the last day of December, eighteen
hundred and forty-live, all sums and balances due him as
collector of said county, in the same manner which the
said James W. Saulsbury could, or might have done with-
in the time now limited by law, any thing to the contrary

Give thirty
days notice.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty of
the said James W. Saulsbury, before he proceeds to exe-
cute the properly of any person or persons for taxes, in
virtue of this act, to deliver to such person or persons
chargeable with the same, at least thirty days previous to
the laying of such execution, a fair account in writing
