and all securities, devises and bequests in her behalf, and
all estates to which she is or may become entitled by de-
scent, purchase or otherwise, shall vest in her and be pre-
served and transmitted as if her name had never been
changed.

CHAPTER 12.

An act to cure Defective Deeds from Thomas Bittle and
Mary Bittle and others, to Darnel Brown and John Sum-
mers of Frederick County.
|

WHEREAS, The said Thomas Bittle and Mary his wife,
united in deeds to the said Daniel Brown and John Sum-
mers, on the first day of April, eighteen hundred and thirty
seven, conveying certain lands therein mentioned, in their
proper names of Thomas Bittle and Mary Bittle, signed,
sealed, acknowledged and delivered said deeds, but in the
said deeds and acknowledgments the said Mary Bittle, by
the mistake of the writer of said deeds, is written and
named Magdelina Bittle; AND WHEREAS, the purposes of
justice, and intention of the parties may be subserved by
the act of this General Assembly in the premises—There-
fore,

Preamble.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the said deeds and acknowledgments shall have the
same force and effect as if the said Mary Bittle had been
truly named in said deeds, instead of being misnamed Mag-
delina Bittle, and the said deeds and acknowledgments
are hereby made sufficient to carry out the intentions ex-
pressed therein, as fully as if no mistake had been made in
said deeds or the form of acknowlegments thereof.
