IS HEREBY AUTHORIZED TO RECEIVE ANY SUCH
PAYMENT OF MONEY FROM ANY PERSON, FIRM
OR CORPORATION AND TO APPLY THE SAME TO
THE COST OF CONDUCTING THE SAID REFEREN-
DUM ELECTION.

SEC. 2 3 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

CHAPTER 513
(House Bill 551)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-
sections (b) (2) and (b) (4) of Section 298 of Article 93
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title
"Testamentary Law", sub-title "Register of Wills", re-
lating to the annual salary of the Register of Wills for
Caroline County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That Sub-sections (b) (2) and (b) (4) of Sec-
tion 298 of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1951 Edition), title "Testamentary Law", sub-title
"Register of Wills'', be and they are repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

(b)

(2) The Registers of Wills for [Caroline, ] Charles,
Worcester and St. Mary's Counties shall each be entitled
to receive the annual salary of $3, 000.

(4) The Register of Wills of Caroline Harford, Kent,
Queen Anne's, Cecil, Somerset and Talbot Counties shall
each be entitled to receive the annual salary of $3, 600.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.
