give bond to the Town of Cottage City in the amount
authorized by the Commissioners for the faithful per-
formance of his duties, and shall have attained
the age of
twenty-one years and shall hold such position for such
time as The Cottage City Commission shall determine.
Such [bailiff or bailiffs] police may at any time be removed
from such position by resolution of The Cottage City
Commission.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

CHAPTER 471

(Senate Bill 580)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
136 (a) of Article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Dorchester County",
sub-title "Circuit Court", sub-heading "Court Stenog-
rapher", being also codified as Section 29 of Article 20
of said Code, title "Somerset County", sub-title "Circuit
Court", sub-heading "Court Stenographer", Section 20
of Article 23 of said Code, title "Wicomico County", sub-
title "Circuit Court", sub-heading "Court Stenographer",
and Section 49 of Article 24 of said Code, title "Worces-
ter County", sub-title "Circuit Court", sub-heading
"Court Stenographer", as said sections were amended
by Chapter 649 of the Acts of 1949, increasing the salary
of the Court Stenographer of the First Judicial Circuit.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 136 (a) of Article 10 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Dorchester
County", sub-title "Circuit Court", sub-heading "Court
Stenographer", being also codified as Section 29 of Article
