men's Association, Incorporated and the Board of County
Commissioners of the County jointly; and provided fur-
ther that such rescue squads are organized, maintained,
and operated as auxiliaries to recognized volunteer fire
companies of Prince George's County.
(d) The County Commissioners of Prince George's
County shall not levy any sum for or contribute to the
support of any volunteer fire company or its auxiliary
rescue squad unless the apparatus and equipment of the
volunteer fire company and auxiliary rescue squad are
inspected and approved by the Prince George's County
Volunteer Firemen's Association at least once in every six
months as to the minimum standards requirements for
apparatus and equipment approved and adopted by the said
Association. The County Commissioners shall not levy
any sum for or contribute to the support of any volunteer
fire company or its auxiliary rescue squad unless the same
have been organized with the approval of and recognized
by the Prince George's County Volunteer Firemen's Asso-
ciation as an active operating unit.
(e) Whenever a new volunteer fire company is organ-
ized and recognized in Prince George's County in accord-
ance with the requirements of this Act, and meets the
standards of the Prince George's County Volunteer Fire-
men's Association, the County Commissioners of Prince
George's County are further authorized and directed to
appropriate and levy annually the additional sum of
$3, 000. 00 for each such new volunteer fire company, said
sum to be paid to and disbursed by the Treasurer of the said
Association under the conditions set forth in sub-title
603 (b) above.
605. The Treasurer of Prince George's County Volun-
teer Firemen's Association, Incorporated, shall give bond
to the County Commissioners of Prince George's County in
the penal sum of Ninety-nine Thousand Dollars ($99, 000)
for the faithful performance of his duties hereunder.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.
