to county tax collectors if the municipal corporations are
unable to collect the same, thereby making unnecessary the
provisions of Section 84C of the Charter of the Town of
Charlestown; now therefore
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 84C of Article 8 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Cecil County",
sub-title "Charlestown", said section having been enacted
by Chapter 206 of the Acts of 1951, be and it is hereby
repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

(Senate Bill 69)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
340 of Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Cecil County", sub-title
"Perryville", and to repeal Sections 347 and 348 of said
Article and sub-title, eliminating from the charter of
the town of Perryville certain obsolete provisions relat-
ing to the assessment and collection of town taxes.
WHEREAS, the State tax laws now require that municipal
corporations adopt assessments as determined by county
officials and also that delinquent town taxes be certified
for collection to the county tax collector, thereby making
obsolete certain of the provisions of the charter of the town
of Perryville; now therefore
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 340 of Article 8 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Cecil County",
sub-title "Perryville", be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
