4. (Counties Exempt.) None of the provisions 1, 2 and
3 of this Article shall be construed to apply to Worcester,
Kent, Caroline, Allegany, Washington, Calvert, Wicomicp,
Dorchester, Somerset, Baltimore, Anne Arundel, Cecil,
Charles, Frederick, Prince George's, and St. Mary's Coun-
ties, said Counties being hereby expressly exempt from the
provisions thereof [.] except that the provisions of 1, 2
and 3 shall apply to that area of Prince George's County
within the corporate limits of the City of Takoma Park.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

CHAPTER 377
(House Bill 682)

AN ACT to repeal Section 64 of Article 7 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Carroll County", sub-title "Hampstead", and to enact
a new Section 64 in lieu thereof, enlarging the corporate
limits of the Town of Hampstead, and providing for a
referendum thereon.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That Section 64 of Article 7 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Carroll County", sub-title "Hampstead", be and it is
hereby repealed, and that a new Section 64 be and it is
hereby enacted in lieu thereof, to read as follows:

67 64. The limits of said town shall be as follows: Begin-
ning for the same at a point on the west edge of Maryland
State Route 30, 1,417.0 feet, measured along the edge of
the highway north of a point at the intersection of the
west edge of Route 30 and the east edge of the right of
way of the Western Maryland Railway which latter point
is the point of beginning of the boundary of the Town of
