CHAPTER 369
(House Bill 639)

AN ACT to add a new sub-section to Section 366 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Baltimore County (1948
Edition), being Article 3 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title "Baltimore County", sub-title
"Public Works", sub-heading "Zoning", said new sub-
section to be known as Sub-section (d-1) and to follow
immediately after Sub-section (d) of said Section 366,
providing for the appointment of a Deputy Zoning Com-
missioner and providing for his duties.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That a new sub-section be and it is hereby added
to Section 366 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Balti-
more County (1948 Edition), being Article 3 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Baltimore County",
sub-title "Public Works", sub-heading "Zoning", said new
sub-section to be known as Sub-section (d-1), to follow
immediately after Sub-section (d) of said Section 366,
and to read as follows:

366.

(d-1) The County Commissioners shall have the power,
in providing for the administration and enforcement of
regulations and restrictions, to appoint or designate a
Deputy Zoning Commissioner. The Deputy Zoning Com-
missioner shall have the same duties and powers as the
Zoning Commissioner.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall

take effect June 1, 1953.

SEC. 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, THAT
THIS ACT IS HEREBY DECLARED TO BE AN EMER-
GENCY MEASURE AND NECESSAEY FOR THE
IMMEDIATE PRESERVATION OF THE PUBLIC
HEALTH AND SAFETY, AND HAVING BEEN
PASSED BY A YEA AND NAY VOTE, SUPPORTED
BY THREE-FIFTHS OF ALL THE MEMBERS ELECT-
ED TO EACH OF THE TWO HOUSES OF THE GEN-
