SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall

(House Bill 620)

AN ACT to repeal Section 24A of Article 25 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "County
Commissioners", sub-title "General Provisions"; to re-
peal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 23 of
Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Wicomico County", sub-title
"County Commissioners", making provision in the Code
of Public Local Laws of Wicomico County for the com-
pensation now being received by the several members
of the Board of County Commissioners of Wicomico
County and repealing that section of the Annotated Code
which now makes provision for such salaries.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 24A of Article 25 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "County Commis-
sioners", sub-title "General Provisions", be and it is hereby
repealed and that Section 23 of Article 23 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Wicomico County", sub-title "County Commissioners", be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
and all to read as follows:

23. Each County Commissioner of Wicomico County
shall receive an annual salary of [four hundred] One
Thousand Dollars, payable monthly during the term of
such County Commissioner, or proportionate part thereof;
the payment of said salary shall be provided for in the
annual levy in each and every year, and paid in the same
manner as other indebtedness of said county is paid.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.
