CHAPTER 363
(House Bill 614)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 20 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Somerset County", sub-title "Crisfield", said new sec-
tion to be known as Section 105A and to follow immedi-
ated after Section 105 of said Article, authorizing and
empowering the Mayor and Council of Crisfield to sell,
subject to certain limitations, certain real estate in the
City of Crisfield purchased from the New York, Phila-
delphia and Norfolk Railroad.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added
to Article 20 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "Somerset County", sub-title
"Crisfield", said new section to be known as Section 105A
and to follow immediately after Section 105 of said Article
and to read as follows:

105A. The Mayor and Council of Crisfield are hereby
fully authorized and empowered to sell and convey by
appropriate deed any part or all of the real estate pur-
chased by the Mayor and Council of Crisfield from the New
York, Philadelphia and Norfolk Railroad, by deed dated
October 17,1951, and duly recorded among the land records
of Somerset County, Maryland, in Liber B. L. P. No. 155
at folio 231. In the event the Mayor and Council of Crisfield
exercise the discretion granted hereby, then said sale shall
be made to the highest bidder or bidders, either by sealed
bids or public auction for cash, provided, however, the
Mayor and Council, within their discretion, may reject any
or all bids, whether they be made at public auction or by
sealed bids.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.
