tively mature. All such taxes levied for the payment of
such principal and interest shall be levied in the same
manner as other city taxes are levied and collected and
shall likewise constitute a lien upon all property on which
they are imposed.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

CHAPTER 342
(House Bill 506)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tions 2 and 14 of Article 74 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Pilots", specifying the
amount to be paid to the Board of Examiners of Mary-
land Pilots for expenses, and specifying the pilotage
rates for pilotage on the waters of this State.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 2 and 14 of Article 74 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Pilots",
be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
2. The Board of Examiners of Maryland Pilots shall
consist of three members composed of the following per-
sons: The President of the Baltimore Chamber of Com-
merce, the President of the Association of Maryland Pilots,
and a person to be selected by these two members from
the membership of the Steamship Trade Association of
Baltimore, Inc., and the Association of Maryland Pilots
shall pay the said Board of Examiners [One Thousand Dol-
lars ($1,000.00)] Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00) a year
to defray the expenses of said Board.
14. No pilot shall charge or receive any greater or less
reward or compensation for his services as such than fol-
