AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tions 174 and 175 of Article 1 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Allegany
County", sub-title "Fire Companies", as said sections
were amended by Chapter 333 of the Acts of 1949, relat-
ing generally to the appropriations to volunteer fire com-
panies by the County Commissioners of Allegany County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 174 and 175 of Article 1 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition),
title "Allegany County", sub-title "Fire Companies", as
said sections were amended by Chapter 333 of the Acts of
1949, be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
174. The County Commissioners of Allegany County
are hereby authorized, empowered and directed to pay the
sum of [$15, 675] $22, 025 annually to the several volunteer
fire companies so long as said fire companies remain incor-
porated bodies, for their benefit, said sum of money to be
used by the respective fire companies for the purchase,
repair or maintenance of fire fighting equipment or for
the repair, maintenance or upkeep of buildings used by
the respective fire companies.
175. Said payment shall be made on the first day of
October in each and every year by the County Commis-
sioners of Allegany County, and it shall be distributed as
follows: [To the Volunteer Fire Company of Bowman's
Addition, the Volunteer Fire Company of Clarysville, the
Volunteer Fire Company of Flintstone, the Volunteer Fire
Company of District No. 16, the Volunteer Fire Company
of Bedford Road, the Volunteer Fire Company of Balti-
more Pike, the Volunteer Fire Company of Ellerslie, the
Volunteer Fire Company of Bowling Green, the sum of
$675. 00 each; to the Frostburg Fire Department of Frost-
burg, Maryland, the sum of $1, 275. 00; to the Good Will
Fire Department of Lonaconing, Maryland, the sum of
$1, 075. 00; to the Midland Fire Company No. 1 of Midland,
Maryland, the sum of $775. 00; to the Mt. Savage Fire
