between the hours of [twelve] seven o'clock [at noon]
A. M. and [six-thirty] seven o'clock P. M. [in the evening]
elect one person, at least thirty years of age, Mayor of said
[town] City and four persons, not less than twenty-five
years of age, who, together with the Mayor, shall consti-
tute the Council; all of whom shall be residents of Rock-
ville and shall have resided in said [town] City at least
three years previous to their election; and all of whom are
qualified and registered voters of said City. They shall
receive no pay for their services; [, except the Mayor, who
shall receive the fees hereinafter allowed; ] provided, the
place of holding the first election under this charter shall be
designated by the present Mayor and Council of Rockville,
who shall also appoint the judges and clerks for said elec-
tion; the judges and clerks for all subsequent elections shall
be appointed by the Council to be elected under this charter.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

CHAPTER 331
(House Bill 404)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
113-20 of the Montgomery County Code (1950 Edition),
being Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title "Montgomery County", sub-title "Nomi-
nations for Office—Generally", to repeal nomination by
the method of a primary election in the City of Rockville.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 113-20 of the Montgomery County
Code (1950 Edition), being Article 16 of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws of Maryland, title "Montgomery County",
sub-title "Nominations for Office—Generally", be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
