Any person who swears falsely before said Secretary Com-
missioner, or Chairman Commissioner, shall be guilty of
the crime of perjury and shall be subject to the penalties
provided by the laws of the State of Maryland.

(F) All contracts made by said Commission on behalf
of said town shall be made in the name of the Town of
District Heights, and shall be signed by the Chairman
Commissioner, or Vice-Chairman Commissioner in his
absence, and shall be attested by the Secretary Commis-
sioner who shall seal the same with the town seal. No
Commissioner and no other town official shall be, directly
or indirectly, personally financially interested in any con-
tract awarded or entered into by said Commission on behalf
of the said town.

(G) No member of said Commission shall receive out of
town funds or property any salary for his services as such
member of said Commission.

(H) Said Commission shall have no power to appoint any
person to any official position or office in said town to
which is attached any salary payable out of town funds
or property except in the case of the Town Treasurer or as
otherwise provided in this sub-title.

(I) Said Commission shall by resolution appoint a Town
Treasurer to be known as the District Heights Treasurer,
who shall also act as Clerk to said Commission. The salary
of said Town Treasurer shall be as fixed annually by the
District Heights Commission, but in no case shall it exceed
Nine Hundred Dollars ($900. 00) per annum. Said Com-
mission may also appoint at its discretion one or more
assistants to the said Town Treasurer at such rates of
compensation as it may determine.

(J) Each of the Commissioners shall, before entering
upon the duties of his office, take the oath prescribed by
Section 6 of Article 1 of the Constitution of Maryland,
before the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Prince George's
County, or one of his deputies.

(K) Said Town Treasurer, before entering upon the
duties of his office, shall take the constitutional oath of
office, before the Chairman Commissioner, or before a
Justice of the Peace or other officer or person (including
a Notary Public), authorized to administer oaths in Prince
George's County. And also he shall give bond to the Town
of District Heights with such surety or sureties as said
Commission may by resolution require, in the sum of One
Thousand Dollars ($1, 000. 00) or in a greater amount at
