CHAPTER 314
(House Bill 128)

AN ACT to add a new sub-section to Section 471 and to
repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 472 and
479 of Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title "Prince George's County", sub-title "Dis-
trict Heights", establishing wards in the Town of Dis-
trict Heights, providing for a five-member commission
to exercise the corporate powers of said Town, specify-
ing the manner of electing the Commissioners, and pro-
viding for a referendum thereon.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That Section 471 of Article 17 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Prince George's
County", sub-title "District Heights", be and it is hereby
amended by designating the present Section 471 as Sec-
tion 471 (A) and adding a new paragraph known as Para-
graph (B) to read as follows:

471.

(B) The said Town shall be divided into four wards,
as follows:

All that portion of the Town lying North of Gateway
Boulevard and West of the right-of-way of the Potomac
Electric Power Company shall constitute the First Ward.

All that portion of the Town lying North of Gateway
Boulevard and of a line running due East from the inter-
section of the extension of Gateway Boulevard with Dis-
trict Heights Parkway, and East of the First Ward, shall
constitute the Second Ward.

All that portion of the Town lying South of the Second
Ward, and East of the right-of-way of the Potomac Elec-
tric Power Company, shall constitute the Third Ward.

All that portion of the Town lying South of the First
Ward, and West of the Third Ward, shall constitute the
Fourth Ward.
