other town taxes now or hereafter may have, unless other-
wise provided by ordinance of The Mayor and City Council
of Taneytown.

When said sewerage system or any portion thereof shall
be in actual operation and in condition to collect, transmit
and dispose of domestic house or other buildings or struc-
ture sewage, the said The Mayor and City Council of
Taneytown shall by ordinance require as in its discretion
determine all owners of property within the area of said
town in which said sewerage system is in actual operation,
at the cost and expense of all such owners to connect
forthwith their respective house or other drains at their
respective building lines with said sewerage system, and
forthwith clean out and fill up their respective privy,
sinks, wells, cesspools or other sewerage or drainage re-
ceptacles, and to abandon the use of their existing arrange-
ments of every sort for the disposal of sewage or drain-
age; and full power is hereby conferred upon The Mayor
and City Council of Taneytown to pass any ordinance or
ordinances from time to time, and provide for any reme-
dial proceedings or processes or for any penalty or penal-
ties that may be or become necessary, in its judgment, to
keep the drainage connections between said respective
building lines and said sewerage system free from obstruc-
tion and in good working order and condition, and by such
ordinance or ordinances the said The Mayor and City
Council of Taneytown shall have the power by ordinance
or ordinances to require the doing of any and all things
reasonably necessary to be done to compel the owners of
property to place and maintain the same in relations of
full cooperation with the sewerage system.

SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That any and all
bonds issued pursuant to the authority of this Act, and
the interest payable thereon, and the income derived there-
from in the hands of the holders thereof from time to time
shall be and are hereby declared to be exempt from State,
county and municipal taxation of every kind and nature
whatsoever in the State of Maryland.

SEC. 8. And be it further enacted, That the said The
Mayor and City Council of Taneytown may apply to the
payment of the principal and interest of any bonds issued
under this Act any funds received by it from the State of
Maryland, the United States of America, any agency or
instrumentality thereof, or from any other source, if such
funds are granted for the purpose of assisting the munici-
pality of Taneytown in obtaining any such public facility,
