the same, and it is further authorized to fix, and from time
to time, revise said schedule of tolls; said tolls when col-
lected shall be used to defray the cost of acquiring said
bridge and when the receipts from said tolls shall be suffi-
cient to pay the initial cost of acquiring said bridge the
cost of maintaining same and the cost of collecting said
tolls, the tolls provided for herein shall cease to exist and
the structure shall become a free bridge, provided that
nothing herein shall be construed as requiring the State
Roads Commission to collect sufficient tolls to defray the
total initial cost of acquiring and the cost of maintaining
said bridge.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

CHAPTER 277
(Senate Bill 279)
AN ACT to repeal Sections 167-173, inclusive, of Article
25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition),
title "County Commissioners", sub-title "Erosion", as
said sections were enacted by Chapter 66 of the Acts
of the Regular Session of 1950; to validate any action
taken or things done in pursuance of said Chapter 66
of the Acts of 1950; and to add seven (7) new sections
to said Article 25 (1951 Edition), said new sections to
be known as Sections 156-162, inclusive, to follow imme-
diately after Section 155 thereof and to be under the
new sub-title "Erosion", authorizing the County Com-
missioners of this State to set up Special Taxing Dis-
tricts for erosion prevention work and specifying their
powers and duties for these purposes; and to repeal
Sections 559-565, inclusive, of the Anne Arundel County
Code (1947 Edition—being Article 2 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Anne Arundel
County", sub-title "Taxing and Assessment Districts",
said sections relating to the powers of the County Com-
missioners of Anne Arundel County as to erosion.
