person or by counsel. At the request of either party, the
Board shall issue subpoenas to witnesses to appear at such
hearings, who shall be sworn and examined. All cases
shall be decided immediately after hearing. // the Board
is satisfied that the person so challenged, omitted or
dropped from the registration lists has actually moved to
another precinct in Baltimore City and is presently resid-
ing within that precinct, the Board may transfer that per-
son to the registration list of the precinct in which he
presently resides.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

CHAPTER 275
(Senate Bill 233)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 77 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Public
Education", sub-title "Chapter 4. County Board of
Education", said new section to be known as Section
66A and to follow immediately after Section 66 of said
Article, relating to separate bank accounts for certain
public school funds and separate accounting systems.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 77
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title
"Public Education", sub-title "Chapter 4. County Board
of Education", said new section to be known as Section
66A, to follow immediately after Section 66 of said Article,
and to read as follows:

66A. Each county board of education and the Board
of School Commissioners of the City of Baltimore shall
keep all moneys for the construction of public school build-
ings and public school facilities and the purchase of land
for public schools in a separate bank account apart from
that used for current expenses and shall maintain a sepa-
