sent of the County Commissioners may employ same at a
salary or salaries to be fixed by said Commissioners. The
Treasurer shall be responsible for the official conduct of
such Clerk or Clerks so appointed by him.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

CHAPTER 270
(Senate Bill 201)
AN ACT to add a new sub-section to Section 187 of Article
2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition),
title "Alcoholic Beverages, " sub-title "Penalties, " said
new sub-section to be known as Sub-section (c) and to
follow immediately after Sub-section (b) of said Section
187, providing for the manner in which fines imposed
under the provisions of Article 2B shall be disposed of in
Carroll, County., CECIL AND, GARRETT AND TAL-
BOT COUNTIES.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new sub-section be and it is hereby added to Section
187 of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951
Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages, " sub-title "Penalties, "
said new sub-section to be known as Sub-section (c), to
follow immediately after Sub-section (b) of said Section
187, and to read as follows:
187.
(c). (Carroll, CECIL AND, GARRETT AND TAL-
BOT COUNTIES Comity. ) Provided that in Carroll,
CECIL AND, GARRETT AND TALBOT COUNTIES
County one-half of each fine shall be disposed of as pro-
vided in Section 5 of Article 38 of the Code of Public
General Laws of Maryland (1951 Edition).
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.
