nues from all other sources as shown by the schedule of
anticipated receipts, must be sufficient to cover the total
appropriations in the budget. The final budget, schedule
of anticipated receipts and levies so adopted shall be signed
by a majority of the County Commissioners, certified by
their clerk, and at least three copies kept on record at the
office of the County Commissioners, open to public inspec-
tion during regular business hours throughout the fiscal
year in which it covers, and said County Commissioners
shall not incur any obligation on the faith and credit of
St. Mary's County other than those items provided in the
budget.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

CHAPTER 260
(House Bill 629)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
111 of Article 6 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Caroline County, " sub-
title "County Treasurer, " as said section was amended
by Chapter 178 of the Acts of 1951, relating to the
salary of the Deputy Treasurer of Caroline County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That Section 111 of Article 6 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Caroline County, " sub-title "County Treasurer, " as said
section was amended by Chapter 178 of the Acts of 1951,
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, and to read as follows:

111. The Treasurer of Caroline County shall, upon tak-
ing office, beginning with the year 1922 and every four
years thereafter, appoint a Deputy Treasurer who shall
hold office for a term of four years, and the said deputy,
so appointed, shall assist the Treasurer in the performance
