418 LAWS OF MARYLAND [CH. 226

WHEREAS, The sole purpose of this Act is to include
Prince George's County under the provisions of Section 76
through 94 of Article 16 and dispel the confusion concern-
ing these sections; and

WHEREAS, This Act relates only to Prince George's
County; now therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That a new section be added to Article 16 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Chan-
cery", sub-title "Infant" said new section to be known as
Section 94A of said Article and to follow immediately after
Section 94 thereof, and to read as follows:

94A. The provisions of Sections 76 through 94 of this
Article shall be applicable only to Anne Arundel County,
Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Caroline County, Carroll
County, Cecil County, Dorchester County, Frederick
County, Harford County, Howard County, Kent County,
Montgomery County, Prince George's County, Queen Anne's
County, Somerset County, Talbot County, Wicomico
County, and Worcester County.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

CHAPTER 226

(House Bill 441)

AN ACT to authorize and direct EMPOWER the County
Commissioners of Allegany County to borrow $6, 000, 000
$3, 500, 000 upon the faith and credit of the County for
the construction, improving and equipping of various
elementary, junior and senior high schools in Allegany
County, and to issue bonds therefor and to levy taxes
to pay the principal and interest of such bonds, provided
that such bonds shall not be issued in an amount greater
than $1, 500, 000 per year, and provided further that such

bonds shall be issued in full within six years.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That (a) the County Commissioners of Allegany
