(House Bill 333)
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 12 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Garrett County", said new section to be known as Sec-
tion 218A, to follow immediately after Section 218
thereof and to be under the sub-title "Grantsville", re-
quiring the Mayor and Council of Grantsville to set aside
certain moneys for the use of the Grantsville Volunteer
Fire Department.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added
to Article 12 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "Garrett County", said new sec-
tion to be known as Section 218A, to follow immediately
after Section 218 thereof and to be under the sub-title
"Grantsville", and to read as follows:
218A. The Mayor and Council of Grantsville are hereby
authorized and directed, each year, to set aside one-tenth
of one per cent. (. 1%) of the town's assessment, to be used
by the Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department. Said sum
shall be payable to the Grantsville Volunteer Fire Depart-
ment on or before October 1st annually.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.
