that the Board of License Commissioners in Baltimore
County shall not approve a license within a certain dis-
tance from any school or place of worship.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 45 of Article 2B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Alcoholic Bever-
ages", sub-title "General Provisions On Issue of Licenses",
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
45. (Baltimore County. ) In Baltimore County, the Board
of License Commissioners shall not approve any license
to sell alcoholic beverages within three hundred feet of any
school, church or other place of worship or within one and
one-half miles from the corner of 4th and D Streets in
Sparrows Point. NOTHING IN THIS SECTION SHALL
APPLY TO OR AFFECT OR PROHIBIT, IN ANY MAN-
NER, THE RENEWAL OR TRANSFER OF ANY LI-
CENSE ISSUED UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
ARTICLE WHICH IS ISSUED AND IN EFFECT ON
JUNE 1, 1953.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

(House Bill 178)
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 69 of the An-
notated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Of-
ficers", said new section to be known as Section 11 and
to follow immediately after Section 10 of said Article,
authorizing the removal of officers and employees of the
State or of any political subdivision of the State, under
certain conditions.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
