sub-title "Boards of License Commissioners", be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
139.
(b) (Allegany County. ) In Allegany County the
Board shall be reconstituted as of June 1, [1951] 1953,
as the Board of License Commissioners of Allegany County.
The [Liquor Control] Board as it existed prior thereto
shall be abolished as of that date and the tenure of the
members of the said [Liquor Control] Board shall be term-
inated as of that date. As of June 1, [1951] 1953, the
Governor shall [appoint] make recess appointments of
three persons to constitute the Board of License Com-
missioners for Allegany County for terms expiring respec-
tively on the first Monday in May, [1953] 1955, the first
Monday in May, [1955] 1957, and the first Monday in May,
£1957] 1959. Thereafter, appointments shall be for terms
of six years each. Two of the members of the said Board
of License Commissioners shall always be members of that
political party which at the last preceding general election
in Allegany County polled the greatest number of votes
in the aggregate for the several offices of County Commis-
sioner therein. The third member of the said Board of
License Commissioners shall always be a member of that
political party which at the last preceding general election
in Allegany County polled the second highest number of
votes in the aggregate for the several offices of County
Commissioner therein.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953,
