334 LAWS OF MARYLAND [CH. 174

"Garrett County", sub-title "Oakland", said new section
to be known as Section 407C of said Article and to
follow immediately after Section 407B thereof, Section
407B having been enacted by Chapter 94 of the Acts
of 1939, providing that the Clerk to the Mayor and
Town Council of Oakland may register voters of said
town during ordinary business hours.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
12 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Garrett County", sub-title "Oakland", said
new section to be known as Section 407C of said Article
and to follow immediately after Section 407B thereof.
Section 407B having been enacted by Chapter 94 of the
Acts of 1939, and to read as follows:

407C. In addition to the time for additional registra-
tion as provided for in Section 407A of this Article
(Chapter 94 of the Acts of 1939), the Clerk to the Mayor
and Town Council of Oakland may register any person
desiring to register and who has been a resident of Oak-
land for at least six months prior to said registration at
the office of the Clerk to the Mayor and Town Council of
Oakland during ordinary business hours.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

CHAPTER 174
(Senate Bill 269)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 12 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Garrett County", sub-title "Friendsville", said new
section to be known as Section 204A and to follow
immediately after Section 204 of said Article, providing
for the time, place and manner of a new registration of
the voters of the Town of Friendsville.
