ARIES OF JUDGES", SAID NEW SECTION TO BE
KNOWN AS SECTION 48A AND TO FOLLOW IM-
MEDIATELY AFTER SECTION 48 THEREOF, PRO-
VIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF ADDITIONAL
COMPENSATION FOR THE SEVERAL RESIDENT
JUDGES OF THE FOURTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT
AND RELATING GENERALLY TO THE CONDI-
TIONS APPLICABLE TO SAID ADDITIONAL PAY-
MENT.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be added to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Washington County", sub title "Judges—Salaries", said
new section to be known as Section 116 of said Article and
to follow immediately after Section 115 thereof, Section
116 as it originally appears in Article 22 of the Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), having been repealed
by Chapter 81 of the Acts of 1949, and to read as follows:
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, THAT A NEW SECTION
BE AND IT IS HEREBY ADDED TO ARTICLE 26 OF
THE ANNOTATED CODE OF MARYLAND (1951 EDI-
TION), TITLE "COURTS", SUB-TITLE "SALARIES
OF JUDGES", SAID NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN
AS SECTION 48A, TO FOLLOW IMMEDIATELY
AFTER SECTION 48 THEREOF, AND TO READ AS
FOLLOWS:
116. The County Commissioners of Washington County
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to pay to
each of the judges of the Circuit Court for the Fourth
Judicial Circuit who reside in Washington County and who
is not a judge of the Court of Appeals, the sum of Two
Thousand Dollars ($2, 000. 00) annually in addition to the
salary received by each of said judges in the State of
Maryland, said payments to be made from and after the
date of passage of this Act in equal monthly installments,
and the said County Commissioners are hereby authorized
and directed to levy upon the assessable property of the
said County a tax sufficient to pay the aforesaid amounts.
48A. THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF WASH-
INGTON, ALLEGANY AND GARRETT COUNTIES
ARE HEREBY AUTHORIZED AND DIRECTED TO
PAY TO EACH OF THE JUDGES OF THE CIRCUIT
COURT FOR THE FOURTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT, AN
