(Senate Bill 209)
AN ACT to repeal Section 46 of Article 2B of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Alcoholic
Beverages", sub-title "General Provisions on Issue of
Licenses", and to enact in lieu thereof a new Section 46
to stand in the place and stead of the section so repealed;
to add a new sub-section to Section 71 of said Article,
sub-title "Rights and Duties of Licensees", said new sub-
section to be known as Sub-section (d) of said section
and to follow immediately after Sub-section (c) thereof,
and to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 93
of said Article, sub-title "Hours and Days for Sale",
providing for the manner in which the Liquor Control
Board of Charles County shall approve applications for
alcoholic beverage licenses, establishing the transfer fee
for liquor licenses at $100. 00 in Charles County and
defining places at which alcoholic beverages are to be
sold in Charles County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 46 of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-
title "General Provisions on Issue of Licenses", be and it
is hereby repealed and that a new Section 46 be and it is
hereby enacted in lieu thereof, to stand in the place and
stead of the section so repealed; and that a new sub-section
be and it is hereby added to Section 71 of said Article, sub-
title "Rights and Duties of Licensees", said new sub-section
to be known as Sub-section (d) and to follow immediately
after Sub-section (c) thereof; and that Section 93 of said
Article, sub-title "Hours and Days for Sale", be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, and all
to read as follows:
46. In Charles County before an application for a
liquor license can be made, the building in which alcoholic
beverages are to be sold must be built and completed and
approved by the Charles County liquor board. The board
shall not approve any application in Charles County until
after the building in which alcoholic beverages are to be
sold is built and completed; any new license approved by
