as Section 202¼ and to follow immediately after Section
202 of said Article, authorizing the County Commis-
sioners to appropriate no more than $7, 500 per year to
the St. Mary's Hospital, Inc., for the payment of a resi-
dent physician.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be added to Article 19 of
the Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"St. Mary's County", sub-title "St. Mary's Hospital", to
be known as Section 202¼ and to follow immediately after
Section 202 of said Article, and to read as follows:

202¼. The County Commissioners of St. Mary's County
are hereby authorized and directed to make an annual
appropriation, not to exceed* Seventy-five Hundred Dollars
($7, 500), to the St. Mary's Hospital, Inc., for the hire of a
resident physician.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
46 of Article 19 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "St. Mary's County", sub-
title "County Commissioners", as said section was
amended by Chapter 457 of the Acts of 1941, allowing a
county commissioner to succeed himself in office.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Maryland, That Section 46 of Article 19 of the Code of

Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "St.

Mary's County", sub-title "County Commissioners", as said

section was amended by Chapter 457 of the Acts of 1941, be
