528-O. (108-13-O) Same—Penal provisions.
Any person who violates any provision of Sections 528M
through 528-O hereof or the provisions of any permit
granted hereunder shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and
shall be punishable by a fine of not to exceed $100. 00 or
imprisonment for not more than six (6) months. Each
day that such violation continues shall be deemed to con-
stitute a separate offense.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

CHAPTER 87
(House Bill 90)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments, Section
122 of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1951 Edition), title "Licenses", sub-title "Gypsies",
providing that the provisions of said Article SECTION
shall be made applicable to Baltimore County AND
GARRETT COUNTY.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 122 of Article 56 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Licenses", sub-
title "Gypsies", be and the same is hereby repealed and re-
enacted with amendments, to read as follows:
122. It shall not be necessary for a conviction for viola-
tions of any of the provisions of this sub-title for the State
to prove that any person or persons charged with any such
violations has or have no permanent place of abode in this
State, but the burden of proving that such person or per-
sons have a permanent place of abode in this State shall
be upon the traverser; provided, however, that these pro-
visions shall not apply to [Baltimore and] Garrett [Coun-
ties. ] County.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.
