1924 CERTIFICATES OF REFERENDA
1951, Ch. 538—Mt. Airy
OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE
To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:
I, JOHN R. REEVES, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
203 of Article 33 of the Code of Maryland (1947 Edition)
DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at an election held in the town of
Mt. Airy, Carroll County, Maryland, an Act known as
Chapter 538 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1951,
was submitted to the voters of the Town of Mt. Airy for
their adoption or rejection, under provisions of Chapter
538 of the Acts of 1951, said Act being:
"An Act to repeal Sections 209 to 261, inclusive of
Article 11 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 edition), titles "Carroll County" and
"Frederick County" respectively, sub-title "Mt.
Airy" and to add 111 new sections to stand in the
place and stead of the sections so repealed, revising
the corporate charter for the Town of Mt. Airy".
AND I DO CERTIFY, That at said election 99 votes were cast
in favor of the adoption of Chapter 538 of the Acts of 1951
and 7 votes were cast against the adoption of said Act; and
a majority being in favor of the adoption thereof, it was
thereby ratified by the voters of the Town of Mt. Airy.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto sub-
