OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE
To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:
I, JOHN R. REEVES, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
203 of Article 33 of the Code of Maryland (1947 Edition)
DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at a Special Election held on
September 21, 1951 in the City of Salisbury, Wicomico
County, Maryland, an Act known as Chapter 534 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of 1951, was submitted to the
voters of the City of Salisbury for their adoption or rejec-
tion, under the provisions of Chapter 534 of the Acts of
1951, said Act being:
"An Act to repeal Sections 258 to 342 inclusive of
Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 edition), title "Wicomico County" sub-
title "Salisbury" and all additions and amendments
thereto, the same comprising the corporate charter
of the City of Salisbury, and to enact in lieu thereof
172 new sections, to stand in the place and stead of
the sections so repealed and to constitute the munic-
ipal charter of the City of Salisbury, establishing a
form of municipal government and relating generally
to the government, powers and duties of the City of
Salisbury".
AND I DO CERTIFY, That at said election 396 votes were
cast in favor of the adoption of said Chapter 534 of the
Acts of 1951 and 289 votes were cast against the adoption
of the said Act; and a majority being in favor of the adop-
tion thereof, it was thereby ratified by the voters of the
City of Salisbury.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto sub-
