The President of the Board of County Commissioners of
Allegany County, THE MAYOR OF THE TOWN OF
WESTERNPORT.


The President of the Board of County Commissioners of
Garrett County and


The Chairman MEMBERS of the Upper Potomac River
Commission; and be it further


Resolved, That this Commission be requested to meet
and study, in detail, the problems which have been raised
by the completion of the Savage River Dam, giving par-
ticular emphasis to the problems of the maintenance of the
road alongside the dam, to that of providing for a whole-
some supply of water in the Town of Westernport, to that
of clarifying the future status and operations of this dam,
and to any other problems which may have been raised as
the result of the completion of the Savage River Dam;
and be it further


Resolved, That this commission be requested to report
the results of its study, together with any recommendations
it may have, to the General Assembly of Maryland LEGIS-
LATIVE COUNCIL AS SOON AS THE RESULTS OF
ITS STUDY HAVE BEEN DETERMINED.

Senate Joint Resolution expressing the sympathies and re-
spect of the General Assembly of Maryland to Dr. Horace
E. Flack.


WHEREAS, the members of the General Assembly of
Maryland have learned with deep regret of the illness of
Dr. Horace E. Flack, the long-time Director of the Depart-
ment of Legislative Reference; and


WHEREAS, Dr. Flack has served the General Assembly
faithfully and well, not only in the preparation of Bills to
