AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-
section (24A) of Section 6 of Article 4 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland and Baltimore City
Charter (1949 Edition), title "Baltimore City", sub-title
"General Powers", sub-heading "Port Development",
said sub-section having been enacted by Chapter 200
of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of
1951, providing that power and authority conferred upon
the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore by said sub-
section shall not be exercised or construed to apply, in
any respect, within the territorial limits of either Anne
Arundel or Howard Counties. COUNTY, OR WITHIN
THE TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF ANNE ARUNDEL
COUNTY WITHOUT, IN CERTAIN INSTANCES,
THE PRIOR CONSENT AND APPROVAL BY RESO-
LUTION DULY PASSED, AFTER A PUBLIC HEAR-
ING, BY THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF ANNE
ARUNDEL COUNTY, AND PROVIDING FURTHER
THAT ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY SHALL RETAIN
THE POWER OF TAXATION OVER CERTAIN
LANDS.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sub-section (24A) of Section 6 of Article 4 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland and Baltimore
City Charter (1949 Edition), title "Baltimore City", sub-
title "General Powers", sub-heading "Port Development",
said sub-section having been enacted by Chapter 200 of
the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1951, be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
PORT DEVELOPMENT
(24A) (a) To acquire land and property of every
kind, and any right, interest, franchise, easement or priv-
ilege therein, including land or property and any right or
interest therein already devoted to any public use, in,
adjoining or in the vicinity of the Patapsco River or its
tributaries, by purchase, lease, gift, condemnation, or any
