their respective salaries at the same time and in the same
manner as is provided in the preceding section for the
payment of the salaries of the Crier of the Superior Court,
the Crier of the Baltimore City Court, and Crier of the
Court of. Common Pleas of Baltimore City. Every Bailiff,
who after having served not less than twenty preceding
consecutive years or shall have become physically or men-
tally incapacitated from performing the duties of Bailiff
from ailments or accidents not resulting from [any] his
own misconduct, shall be entitled to retirement with a sal-
ary of Fifteen Hundred Dollars per annum, payable as
other Bailiffs' salaries are now paid, provided that such
retirement shall be evidenced by a satisfactory certificate
approved by the Supreme Bench of Baltimore City, directed
to the Treasurer of Baltimore City, advising him of the
retirement of said Bailiff, and that said retirement is in
accord with the provisions of this section.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

CHAPTER 726
(House Bill 760)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 27 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Crimes
and Punishments", sub-title "Sabbath Breaking", said
new section to be known as Section 603A of said Article
and to follow immediately after Section 603 thereof,
providing that it shall be lawful to play golf and baseball
and to race stock cars in Garrett County within specified
times on Sunday.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That be and there is added a new section to
Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951
Edition), title "Crimes and Punishments", sub-title "Sab-
bath Breaking", said new section to be known as Section
